Did you download the program & check it out?!?
Their description states quite clearly:
"HelpMaker has no limitations, no time-outs, no nags, no adware, no banner ads and no spyware. It is 100% free. Other than this product, there is no free help authoring tool for WinHelp and HTML-Help."
Their download page heading says "Download Evaluation Version" (there's no mention of 30 days!) BUT it also states on that page:
"HelpMaker is a freeware help authoring tool. This is completely free and there is no charge for usage."
There is a link to the licence (freeware!) & also a link to a blog page "Why is HelpMaker free? "
The program is NOT listed on their "Purchase" page
Finally - other listing sites, who download, install, & review programs (we don't!) list it as no-limitation freeware.
To us, that means it's free even if the authors did use the same download page template for their shareware & freeware. If it bothers you that much post a message to the AUTHOR's public forum for this program!
