FYI this is a genuine AVG FREE product which can be downloaded as a stand-alone application OR as part of AVG Free Anti Virus 8.5. We recommend that you ONLY download from AVG's own website & that is where OUR links will take you.
Last October AVG hired a *marketing* firm, GlobalFluency, to promote their products in North America.
GlobalFluency laid off staff in more than one of their offices in January 2009 to reorganize the agency as a multifaceted marketing firm. Now they are creating marketing websites to promote AVG products! They are doing this as "affiliates" of AVG & *they*, NOT AVG, *require* name + email address to access the downloads!
Need we say more?!?! ;-)
