ikenstein we have had this program listed for 2 YEARS, we have logged almost 2 THOUSAND downloads & it scans CLEAN with 3 AV programs & 2 anti spyware programs.
You don't say what version of Windows you have or what firewall you are using so it is not possible to offer any specific comments or advice.
ALL peer to peer file sharing carries *serious* risks of attracting a virus, trojan or DoS attack. You don't get them from the file sharing *program* you get them from the files you get from *other people*!
IF this is a DoS attack you got it from whatever program you downloaded, or tried to download, *using* uTorrent!! Uninstalling uTorrent isn't going to help, it wasn't causing the problem in the first place.
Why would your system attract a Denial of Service attack?!?!?! What service are you providing that anyone would want to interrupt?!? DoS attacks are usually aimed at bringing down government websites, commerce websites, high traffic websites, etc. Personal computers aren't exactly a high value target.
I'm no expert on P2P programs or firewall logs but IMHO this is NOT a denial of service attack, it looks more like your firewall doing its job & blocking access to a port on your system or something.
Suggestion:
Go to the website for your firewall. Find their forums or support center & ask them to explain what you are seeing.

I'm thinking bout download UTorrent anybody got any better p2p sites?
download from it
Read up on this and it gets good reviews all round.
So if i have got this right it's not the program that has nasties but what you download from it?I'd imagine most nasties will be in adult stuff and not music downloads

Usually but not necessarily graham, nasties get put *into* the most popular files, & music is high on the list, but they can also become *attached* to *anything*!!
Using any P2P service to download from a reputable source is likely to be safe. Downloading *anything* from Joe Blog's computer in China, India, or even the good old USA is a RISK!!
