Hi,
I tried Avant, and it is simlar to Mozilla Firefox. But why use Avant when Mozilla is more popular and known better for it security.
With Mozilla you get free updates, it is more stable, more features (including extensions) Mozilla extensions are by non the best. Ex: Nandu html composer, flashlback - blocks flash to avoid browser errors, noscript - blocks scripts...
I prefer Mozilla :)

Avant sits on top of Internet Explorer, it is not a seperate browser. It gives more functionality but I guess it's open to all the security flaws that haunt IE. I'd stick to Opera 9.52 or Firefox 3
