I downloaded their latest (?) version direct from their website. The first time I ran DeepBurner, an error window popped up! "This file may have been tampered with and may contain a virus!" DeepBurner is TOTALLY USELESS!!

We're not the authors of any of the programs we list, we don't have the resources to download install or review ANY of them nor do we make any claims for the programs.
I would recommend reading Download.com's Editor's Review & the User Reviews
Not all programs will work on all systems & it's just *possible* that your file really was corrupt!

After installing Deep Burner my computer crashes... and has done so during mcafee scan of C:WinNTDriver Cachei386 directory, twice at I believe the same count...

hmmm... well, it worked fine on my WinXPSP2 system. Neither PcCillin 2007 (which I used previously) nor AntiVir (which I just switched to) flagged any problems with it, nor has it crashed on me, or given any other problems.
My only complaint is that it doesn't have any option to verify after burning a disk, which seems like a pretty fundamental option to leave out. Maybe the Pro version has that, but I'm evaluating the free version, and lack of verify-after-burn is almost a show-stopper for me...
