This program ROCKS! I hate the bloat & invasiveness of Adobe but I do need a PDF *reader*.
I used to be a fan of Foxit until they developed it into a commercial app with all the bells & whistles of a full blown PDF program. There is still a free version BUT I've never liked the way it handles long documents or scrolling through them.
Sumatra is everything I was looking for & then some. It's Open Source, small, portable, & has an amazing ability to handle PDF documents. OK so it doesn't have 25 *icons* to do things but click on "Help -> Manual" & see what you can do! The manual is online here if you want to take a look first.
Note: it's normal for Open Source program manuals to be online, it allows for them to be changed easily if something needs to be added or corrected. If you want an offline copy either save the page or copy the text & paste it into a word processor.
