TimeTrack Free Edition  by Bit Computing
Business and Productivity → Business Specific → Tools

TimeTrack is the easiest way to keep track of your computer activities and usage time automatically. It's an easy-to-use utility that logs every single one of your computer activities and gives a detailed report of which applications and documents you use or web-sites that you visit. No installation required, runs directly from the download executable....

Avast reports that it is a Trojan, with the message:

SYSTEM 1676 Sign of "Win32:Hooker-O [Trj]" has been found in "H:\My Download Files (H)\timetrack.exe\[UPX]" file.

gnoel that's a false positive, keep in mind what the program actually *does*:
logs every single one of your computer activities and gives a detailed report of which applications and documents you use or web-sites that you visit

An overly aggressive AV program or very strict security settings will see that as spyware/trojan-like activity.

Being the first person to find a brand new virus/trojan in a program that has been listed for over a year, downloaded from *our* link alone over 400 times (8 this week!) is about as likely as snow in summer. If it exists there will be more info available.

A Google search for "Win32:Hooker-O" produces 10 results; all of them are Asian or Eastern European links; none of them provide information on the trojan beyond the name.

AVG 8 says it's clean: AVG 7.5 says it's clean: AVG Anti Spyware 7.5 says it's clean: Avira AntiVir says it's clean.
I have downloaded it & run it - it doesn't install, it doesn't make changes to anything, it simply adds itself to the start up menu & then does it's job.

If you don't want to risk telling Avast to ignore it try another program but be aware that, if this what you want the program to do, Avast is likely to warn about any or all of them ;-)
