Instant Memory Cleaner is a front-end for Microsoft's ClearMem (WinXP) and FreeMem (Vista) which forces pages out of physical memory and reduces the size of running processes' working sets to a minimum. Instant Memory Cleaner is more effective with Windows XP and, if you want better results, the paging file of your System must be at least as large as the system's physical memory.

MemAv will add a very discreet bar at the top of the computer screen which, originaly green, will change its color and become blue as the available memory decreases. When its color turns red, it is time to close some of the open programs or to reboot Windows before the computer crashes and there is a loss of data. The bar has a right-click context menu that offers more functions - Reboot Windows; Exit Windows; Screen capture (will take a picture of your current screen, INCLUDING THE MOUSE POINTER); Limited capture (will take a picture of the selected part of your screen); Toggle desktop (hide or restore all icons); Exit MemAv. Your screen capture can either be opened automaticaly in your favorite Image Processing Program, or saved as a BMP or JPG file.

Mr. Memory is very simple, it provides a quick check of how your system memory is doing at any time. Once running, there will be a new icon in the Windows Taskbar, move your mouse pointer over this and the Mr. Memory window will appear on your screen, move your pointer away and the window will disappear. Double click this icon if you want to exit Mr. Memory.

Simply insert how much RAM it should allocate and press the "Allocate" button and now your memory is gone. By using the "Free" button you can always free the memory again.

RAMpage is a Windows utility that displays the amount of available memory in the System Tray. It can also free memory - by double clicking the tray icon, by setting a threshold that activates the program automatically, or by having it run automatically when a program exits. Under some circumstances, freeing memory may improve the stability of Windows 95, and possibly also Win98 and ME. In theory, RAMpage shouldn't make any difference on WinNT, 2000 or XP, though I have had some reports that suggest it helps. Source code is available.

Rizone DMM (Doors Memory Management System) is a small command line utility for optimizing your memory. With DMM you can defrag and optimize (EmptyWorkingSet) your memory, to get that fresh reboot feel from your computer. To be honest, defragging your memory forces some of it into the PageFile. This is not always a good thing, but can give you a performance boost when you need it. Optimizing your memory, uses a safe Windows API call, so you can run the /OPTIMIZE switch frequently; however, this will only give you a small performance boost.
