 » GeoShell 4.1+
download web site opinions problem?
GeoShell is a free and Open-Source replacement shell that replaces the default Windows Explorer interface. In other words, you trade in your start menu, taskbar, system tray and desktop, and you get our versions, featuring slick, skinnable geoBars which can be placed anywhere and alpha blended into your background. GeoShell has plugins that add additional functionality like rss readers, weather forecasts, mail checkers, web search bars, virtual desktops and more. In it's default installation geoShell also uses less resources than Windows Explorer, and is particularly effective when combined with third-party web browsers and file managers to completely upgrade your basic Windows interface. GeoShell on Vista - it will, in fact, run on 32bit Vista (not on 64bit versions of Vista or XP), and it works fine using just the current installer from SourceForge, BUT you'll get an error message from WinShellEx when it starts up. More info available on the home page.

 » Disabling Internet Integration (IE-OFF) 1.0
download web site opinions problem?
Due to popular demand, we are making the process of removing the internet integration feature of Windows 98 very easy by releasing this little program. There's nothing dangerous about using this program; it simply contains about a dozen changes to the registry that otherwise would have to be made with a combination of settings in Explorer, Control Panel, TweakUI, and the Policy Editor. There's nothing in this program that Microsoft hasn't already made available, albeit in a convoluted collection of dialog boxes. This program does not disable the Internet Explorer web browser, it simply removes the controversial integration with the Windows desktop.
