SearchMyFiles is an alternative to the standard "Search For Files And Folders" module of Windows. SearchMyFiles will allow users to easily search files on their computer by file attributes, by wildcard, by last modified / created / last accessed time, by the file size and by file content (text or binary search). SearchMyFiles allows you to make a very accurate search that cannot be done with Windows search. For example: You can search all files created in the last 10 minutes with size between 500 and 700 bytes. Multi Path Files Finder is a fast file searching utility that can run a file search in up to three different paths including a UNC path. It can exclude a phrase from any part of the search and, for each path, you can decide to search also sub folders. After running a search, the results will appear on the results view, a double click on a file will execute it or open with the default program. A right click on a file will open a pop-up menu with different file operations. What if you want to search for a file in a local folder and in a UNC path also? And what if you want to search for the file in sub folders in one path but not in the other? And what if you want to exclude a phrase from the search but not exclude it from sub folders search? Sounds too complicated ? Not complicated at all if you are going to use MPFF. MPFF is a portable application, there is no install process, just unzip to any folder and run it.

SolTrustVerifier is a Windows application to find files (*exe, *mis, *dll, *ocx, *cab, *cat ) signed by Authenticode. This is a Windows Explorer like application, it has a tree view in the left pane and a list view in the right pane. Select a folder in the left tree view to search and click the start button. then signed and unsigned files will be displayed in the right list view. Select a signed file, certificate information used to sign the files can be displayed. SolTrustVerifier is based on two C++ classes TrustVerifier and SignedObject. The TrustVerifier is a simple wrapper class to the wintrust's WinVerifyTrust (# API and SignedObject to the wincrypt's CryptQueryObject#) API.

FastFind is a Windows program that provides fast searching for named files. FastFind generates a compact binary index for all files on a system, which it uses to search for filenames, in no more than a few seconds. FastFind functions fine as a standalone program, so you can just copy it wherever you want to put it on your hard drive, and run it from there. By default, FastFind will store its index file next to the executable. You can change this in the options dialog if you want to.

That means that you won't need to remember exactly the name of a song or file in order to find it. Windows provides no method for getting a hard copy or editable list of files within a directory. FileMagic attempts to fill that gap by producing a tab-delimited ASCII text file containing summary information about all the files within a directory, its subdirectories, their subdirectories and so on. There are columns for the complete file path, size in bytes, file attributes, time & date modified, and just the filename itself. The output file can be opened in a spreadsheet for printing or further analysis.

You can even specify a text that it should find inside the files. After the requested files have been found, select one and X-Find will display it in the same window (no extra program is started).
