Without stealing your home page and with no other included software, pop-ups, or spyware, Trillian provides unique functionality such as contact message history, a powerful skinning language, tabbed messaging, global status changes (set all networks away at once), Instant Lookup (automatic Wikipedia integration), contact alerts, an advanced automation system to trigger events based on anything happening in the client, docking, hundreds of emoticons, emotisounds, shell extensions for file transfers, and systray notifications.

Video Chat
In addition to picture-in-picture mode, Trillian can also neatly arrange your two video windows right next to each other. A full screen mode is supported as well.
Trillian uses high quality video compression and attempts to transmit 15 frames per second, dropping to 10 if necessary. A Pentium III running at 500 mHz or greater is required, as is at least 64 megs of RAM. A broadband connection capable of transmitting and receiving data at rates of at least 15 kilobytes per second is also required.

Time Travel
Have you ever watched your friend sneeze on a webcam and wished you could go back and see it again? With time travel, you can! Trillian's time travel feature allows you to pause, rewind, fast forward, and record live video and audio sessions. You can even rewind a stream and click the record button! Think of it as a miniature DVR device for the PC.

Instant Lookup
As you chat with your contacts, Trillian scans each of your messages in realtime to determine which words or phrases have interesting information associated with them. You may then choose to click these words to take further action, or can simply move your mouse over the words for a brief summary.
