Online Email Protector - Keep your email addresses safe when you post them on the web. You can use the online email protector to stop people from stealing your email address when you post it online. To use, simply type your email address below and then click in either of the text boxes. You can use the simple link code, or the more complicated Javascript link. Either link will effectively mask and cloak your email address from spammers.

Finger is the tool for discovering user information by using the "Finger" service. To use the finger tool enter the User@Host in the Finger Input box, and click on the Finger button, the results will be shown in the Finger Response section. Using Finger tool makes it possible to get an "Abuse Address" for a remote host. For example to get the abuse address of prontomail.com you type prontomail.com@abuse.net in the finger input section. The result you will receive in the finger response section will be "abuse@mailcentro.com", the abuse reporting address for prontomail.com.

Phalanx was developed to be a powerful spam filter application for POP3 accounts. It can be used with any mail client and supports APOP (MD5) and secure connections (SSL) for authentication on the mail server. Key features of "Portable Phalanx" include: Blacklists and Whitelists; DNSBL filter that searches the IP address of the sender in a DNSBL database. URLBL filter that searches all URLs in the message in a URLBL database. Bayesian filter. User defined rules that allow filters for specific words and terms, regular expressions are supported. Rule sets: you can create your own rule files, that can be included in Phalanx. External rule files (rule sets) are much more powerful and flexible. Phalanx can be extended with plug-ins. Plug-ins can filter messages with complex methods.

POPFile is an email classification tool with a Naive Bayes classifier, a POP3 proxy and a web interface. It runs on most platforms and with most email clients and, once properly set up and trained, it will work in the background of your computer, scanning mail as it arrives and filing it however you wish. You can give it a simple job, like separating out junk e-mail, or a complicated one - like filing mail into a dozen folders. Think of it as a personal assistant for your inbox.
If you're drowning in spam this program could be the answer! Black/White lists alone do NOT work, intelligent filtering does. Read ALL the info before downloading & be patient while POPFile "learns" ;-)
