| IFR Holding Trainer is a freeware application for student pilots, where you can practice visualizing holdings and holding entries. When you first launch the program, the Heading Indicator and OBI will give you your position relative to a VOR. You are given holding instructions in the text box to the left. It is your task to figure out whether it is going to be a Direct, Teardrop (also called offset), or Parallel entry. Click the appropriate button, and the program will tell you the right answer, and also provide a visual overview.
