You select graphics supplied with the games or create your own puzzles from any bitmaps. When you select "new game", AlterJig scrambles the puzzles and challenges you to restore the pictures by rotating groups of four tiles to get the tiles back to their proper positions. Checks is 3 games in one package - in 'Number Checks' you must figure out how the number sequence should be and then use the mouse button or arrow keys to move the numbers to free position until they are in the correct sequence. Letter Checks is similar to Number checks with alphabetical sequences instead of numerical. Image Checks is a jigsaw.
