Blastocyst is a game of skill and tactics. You only have one level to complete, and one life to complete it with. Blast the rock and all rock fragments while avoiding being hit. Your blaster and shield consume energy, indicated by the green bar at the bottom of the screen. When you destroy the smallest fragments, a static green radioactive particle will be left behind; fly over it to replenish your energy. If your energy runs out completely and you are hit by a rock you will die. One ship. One asteroid. Easy, huh? Prepare to enter asteroid hell! 'Blastocyst' is a hardcore take on an old idea. The game was written in 100% 8086 assembler for lightning fast gameplay and a tiny file size.

» Echoes 1.03+

Echoes is a bit like Asteroid's hyperactive, drug crazed brother displayed in blur-o-vision and viewed through psychedelic sunglasses in a cheap nightclub. The game consists of 10 levels with a new enemy introduced on each new level (mini asteroid, small asteroid, large asteroid, XXL asteroid, comet, meteor storm, asteroid belt, planet, black hole & sun). Each has different strengths and weaknesses, and each requires different strategies. The player loses energy when hit by an enemy. Remaining energy is shown on the HUD but the coloured ring around the player also indicates energy status (a large, green circle changing to a small red circle as energy depletes). There are three different powerups that appear at random intervals to aid your progress: Weapon Up; Energy Up; and Ring of Bullets.

» Epic Rocks 1.0

Epic Rocks is a classic arcade game where you have to survive in an asteroid field for as long as possible. The game is only about getting the highest score and is designed for quick, fast gameplay. There are six different levels with various hazards to avoid. There are four different ships to command and a bunch of special weapons to utilize, including the devastating Beam Saber and the experimental Gravity Mine. Also included are a lot of flashy special effects and pumping music.

» Gamma Brothers 1.0

You play as one of the Gamma Brothers who must destroy an endless stream of UFOs that invade from every direction. Use the arrow keys to move your craft around and the WASD keys to fire in four cardinal directions. When your energy gets depleted, running into your brother will swap your ships, tag-team-style. The rest is easy to pick up, but a solid challenge to complete. Try it online, download it to play anytime!

» Planet Defense 1.0

Planet Defense is a simple arcade game inspired by Asteroids and Missile Command. Prevent Asteroids from destroying your planet by firing missiles close enough for the detonation to kill them. Asteroids split into smaller asteroids when hit. You can place your detonations with precision to kill several asteroids at a time, and even the parts which they split into. The game ends when all life on your planet has been extinguished. Life continuously regenerates though as time passes so it is possible to recover even from the brink of destruction.

» Spheres of Chaos 2.1+

Spheres of Chaos can be described as a cross between a space-shooter game and a psychedelic experience. It animates up to 130,000 pixels to create firework explosions, rockets and trails, yet it does not require a powerful computer or graphics card to play. There is an astonishing range of levels and enemies, enough to keep even the most dedicated gamer occupied (although their sanity after extended play might well be doubted). Confusing, explosive, enticing fun, not to be missed!
NOTE: Vista & Win7 users: For Spheres of Chaos to display properly, set it to use Windows XP Compatibility Mode. Right-click the Spheres of Chaos shortcut; click "Properties"; click the "Compatibility" tab; check the "Run this program in compatibility mode" box; select "Windows XP service pack 2".
