  Desktop Renamer lets you easily change the name of the desktop icons: Recycle Bin; My Computer; My Documents; My Network Places. Windows has an annoying habit of not letting you rename many of the icons on your desktop, with this free little application tweak the UI quickly and easily. No install required, just unzip and run, if the program cannot change the icon texts on your system it will tell you.

  This file contains Icons, cursors, and sound waves for renaming and changing the Recycle Bin to a toilet. It is recommended that you also download the "Rename the Recycle Bin" file to do the editing for you rather than editing the registry by hand although full instructions for this are included. Both files are located here.
